University of Buraimi Debate Team Wins 3rd Place in “Basmah” Championship

The University of Buraimi (UOB) debate team won third place in the (Basmah) Championship, which was held virtually and organized by the Kingdom of Bahrain. The championship saw the participation of 32 Arab and Islamic countries.

The team, consisting of three students: Shahad Al-Kalbani, Al-Hanouf Al-Badi, and Mohammed Al-Saidi, managed to surpass all participating teams in the preliminary rounds to qualify for the elimination rounds and ultimately win third place in the championship.

Notably, two debaters from the UOB debate team won individual awards. Shahad Al-Kalbani won the Best Third Speaker award, while Al-Hanouf Al-Badi won the Best Ninth Speaker award.
