Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs Meets with Students Who Completed the Foundation Program
A meeting was held between the University Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Research, and Innovation, and the Deans of the colleges, with students who successfully completed their foundation year at the university and commenced their studies in their respective colleges this current semester. This meeting aimed to shed light on important topics and concerns that are relevant to students as they embark on their college journey.
In his speech during the meeting, Dr. Abdullah Al-Kalbani, the Academic Deputy Vice-Chancellor, warmly welcomed the attending students and discussed the philosophy of studying in colleges and the mechanisms that new college students should be familiar with.
For his part, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shamsi, Dean of the College of Business, spoke about the importance of following up with the academic advisor, especially students who are under academic probation. He also addressed the vital issue of students' attendance at lectures and the importance of avoiding absenteeism to prevent being barred from exams.
Dr. Hilal Al-Rahbi, Dean of the College of Health Sciences, highlighted the importance of adhering to the academic plan during registration for each semester, emphasizing the significance of academic planning.
Lastly, Dr. Jameel Al-Hinai, Dean of the College of Law, stressed the importance of following proper procedures and adhering to university rules, regulations, and policies.
