University of Buraimi Holds Engineering Exhibition for Innovative Graduation Projects

The University of Buraimi organized an engineering exhibition for innovative graduation projects, with the participation of 12 higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. The exhibition showcased 33 innovative engineering projects, competing for first and second place across four engineering disciplines. The opening of the exhibition was held under the auspices of H.E. Sheikh Saif bin Abdullah Al Mamari, Wali of Mahdha, and attended by representatives from security, governmental, and private institutions in the Al Buraimi governorate.
In his speech, Dr. Said Eid Younes, the university Vice-Chancellor, highlighted the continuous growth across various aspects of the university, including new academic programs, expanding research activities, and enhanced infrastructure. This includes the construction of a new residential facility for female students accommodating over 1000 students and the establishment of a solar power station with a capacity of 1.5 megawatts to cover a significant portion of the university's electricity consumption through clean and renewable energy. The university is committed to equipping its scientific laboratories and educational support services with the latest equipment and technologies to prepare its students for active engagement in development projects for the prosperity of the Sultanate.
The event's patron and attendees toured the exhibition, listening to explanations from students about their creative and innovative project ideas. At the end of the exhibition, the university Vice-Chancellor honored the winning teams in the first and second places in each of the participating engineering disciplines.
