College of Health Sciences at University of Buraimi Celebrates World Optometry Day 2024

The College of Health Sciences at the University of Buraimi celebrated World Optometry Day, which falls on the 23rd of March each year. The event began with a welcome speech by the Dean of the College of Health Sciences, Dr. Hilal Al Rahbi, who emphasized the importance of this specialization for the community and pointed out the university's uniqueness in offering this specialization at the national level.

Optometrist Nasser Al Shamli, owner of New Vision Optometry, spoke about the development stages of optometry in the Sultanate. He encouraged students to do their best in their profession and be prepared for future responsibilities as primary healthcare professionals in Oman. The event included several lectures and cultural competitions organized by the college students, providing rich cultural content for the audience. An accompanying exhibition was also held as part of the event.
