University of Buraimi Launches Professional Development Sessions for Faculty

The UoB Training Institute, in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Department at the University of Buraimi, has launched a series of professional development sessions aimed at enhancing faculty members' competencies in teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

This initiative is a significant step toward supporting the implementation of UoB’s Teaching-Learning Framework, reinforcing the university’s commitment to quality education and student success. The inaugural session focused on key topics, including:

• Cognitive Processes and the Facilitation of Student Learning

•  Fundamentals of Outcome-Based Education

• Alignment with the Oman Qualifications Framework Aligning Teaching, Learning, and Assessment for Student Success

These sessions are designed to empower faculty members with the knowledge and tools to deliver high-quality, student-centered education, while ensuring alignment with national and institutional standards.
