Organized by the Student Affairs Department, several students from University of Buraimi took part in an awareness seminar hosted by Buraimi University College, titled “The Role of Scouting in Strengthening National Identity: The Case of Oman.” The event was held in collaboration with the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides. The seminar aimed to shed light on the pivotal role of the scouting movement in fostering national pride and instilling values and principles that contribute to a strong and evolving national identity. It emphasized that scouting is more than just a recreational activity; it serves as an educational platform that cultivates national values in young people, nurtures a sense of responsibility, and promotes teamwork—ultimately shaping a generation that is conscious, responsible, and deeply connected to its national identity.
