Student Affairs Department at University of Buraimi Organizes Career Guidance Week 2023

In line with the ongoing commitment to raising awareness among students and graduates of the skills needed to enter the workforce after graduation, and in accordance with the approved operational plan, the Career Guidance, Training, and Alumni Affairs Unit of the Student Affairs Department at the University of Buraimi organized the 2023 Career Guidance Week. The event saw the participation of a number of higher education institutions, with speakers from Buraimi University College, Sohar University, and A'Sharqiyah University, as well as faculty members from the College of Business at the University of Buraimi and a lecturer from the Ministry of Labor. The event attracted a large audience. 

 

The week included various focused and purposeful workshops on preparing resumes (CVs), gearing up for job interviews and venturing into the world of entrepreneurship. Additionally, the Ministry of Labour organized a job fair including the job application process. These activities aimed to enhance a range of skills required by students and graduates, such as presentation and communication skills, creative and critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and other essential competencies.
