The BSc in Occupational Health & Safety program would prepare students to evaluate workplaces with regard to safety concerns, recognizing risks, and making appropriate recommendations to the concerned higher authorities. Learners will explore topics ranging from basic sciences, health sciences, aspects of health & safety concerns/risks in a variety of workplaces, relevant regulatory compliance to policy enforcement. With a continued urge to initiate relevant industry collaborations, students opting to study the BSc in OHS would experience excellent opportunities to build a strong theoretical basis as well as opportunities for experiential learning from the industry directly.
General education diploma: 65%.
Pure mathematics, Chemistry, Any of (Biology /Health Sciences) And English: 60%.

Occupational health and safety specialist/officer typically holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related scientific or technical field. Such graduates are prepared as investigators of the workplace. They can specialize in certain safety aspects of the workplace or focus on the physical well-being of workers themselves. Such field has numerous opportunities to further education as masters or doctoral degree with which the graduates would be potential in research, academia, policy development, etc.
